The Russell Program
Our rural outreach program, started by coach Matt McCarlie in October 2018, trains on Friday nights at Russell High School. This program is aimed at kids of all ages from rural communities who want somewhere to train that doesn't require going all the way into the city.
The mission of the Russell program is to provide youth in the rural Ottawa South communities with a grassroots wrestling program that delivers a safe, fun, and challenging experience for all participants, regardless of individual differences. We are devoted to fostering the physical, mental, and social development of our members through the hard work, commitment, and camaraderie that are inherent in wrestling. These concepts, as well as self-discipline and individual responsibility, are essential for achieving success in sport and in life.
